Shannon started playing his sisters acoustic guitar at age 14 and right away started writing music. He got his first electric guitar at age 17 and that summer he got a Fostex 4 Track and started recording his own music. At age 19 he joined his first band Livewire. Livewire played rock covers like Journey, CCR, and Bryan Adams. This was the start of many years playing in bands and playing covers. Johnny Exciter was the last band he was in. JE was a heavy metal band that played Pantera, Slayer, and Metallica. We played the club tour for 2 years in the early 90s. He took several years off from bands but never stopped writing or playing the guitar then started playing the coffee clubs in 97 as an acoustic duo with several different people. Shannon also took time off to study the guitar and also give lessons for a few years then he moved to Minneapolis in 2000 and started a new chapter in his musical journey. Discovering the sounds of Dave Matthews, Damien Rice, and Iron and Wine set the stage for the future of Shannons new sound and song writing. Songs that tell stories and take people on an emotional journey is the goal he is trying to achieve. After years of writing songs and keeping them locked away Shannon has reached a point in his life where he is ready to share his music with the world.
